Exercising daily, eating a healthy diet, not consuming alcohol, and maintaining a healthy weight can definitely help you get pregnant. Women who have been trying to get pregnant for a year or more but have not been able to conceive should see their GP. If they have any fertility problems, their GP will refer them to a hospital or clinic for fertility treatment.

Women suffering from any fertility problems are more likely to face birth complications, which include premature delivery, miscarriage, or death almost within about 28 days. Babies who are conceived through various fertility methods like IVF are more likely to be stillborn or born with some congenital disabilities or die within about 28 days than those babies who are born through a natural process.

Women suffering from fertility problems have many choices for fertility treatments. You, along with your doctor, must devise a treatment plan.

Types of Fertility Treatments:

The very appropriate fertility treatment will only depend on the circumstances, which further include the cause behind the fertility problems, the female partner’s age, and medical history, if any. Broadly, there are three categories of fertility treatments.

  • Fertility Medicines

The medicines are mostly advised to those women having fertility problems because of the situation in ovulation.

  • Surgical procedures

The surgical treatment includes surgery of the fallopian tube, which allows the ovaries to travel to the uterus.

  • Assisted conception
  • Intrauterine insemination (IUI) – sperm placed into the womb via a plastic tube if mild sperm problems.
  • In vitro fertilization (IVF) – eggs and sperm mixed outside and put back into the womb; severe sperm problems as well as unexplained infertility.

Some Other Fertility Treatments:

  • Fertility drugs- in the form of medicines or injected; induce ovulation; more receptive uterus.

For women having problems in ovulation or poor quality sperm partners, avoid if the fallopian tube is blocked.

  • Pros- low cost with relative convenience
  • Cons- nausea, headaches, bloating and hot flashes

Chances of premature delivery, multiple births, or the formation of ovarian cysts.

  • Donor sperm- sperm from another man (not intended father)

It is best for male-factor infertility and genetic disorders in men, lesbian couples, or single women.

  • Pros- lesbian or single women want to conceive, no chance of passing any genetic disorders
  • Cons- The intended father is not comfortable with the donor as he has no genetic relationship with them
  • Donor eggs- eggs from another woman (younger than the intended mother)

It is best for women with damaged ovaries or poor egg quality or with some genetic disorders.

  • Pros- women with age factor or damaged ovaries can become mothers
  • Cons- it is expensive and may be uncomfortable to use eggs with no genetic relationship.

Women who struggle through their pregnancy and naturally conceive the baby are at much higher risk than those women who conceive through fertility treatments. Babies are 7% more likely to be stillborn or with congenital disabilities than those born through fertility treatments.

  1. As soon as the masks get damp they’re useless aaywny. Its just a massive over reaction, it is the same as regular flu, and people get that every year. People die from that every year and the news never makes a big deal over it.Just ignore the hype, everything is fine, as my doctor was telling me last week, millions of people get over swine flu without the need to use tami-flu and most people don’t know they even have it.
