Can Handstand be helpful to increase memory power?
I find that a Headstand is very beneficial for memory. When I was doing yoga, I would see an immediate improvement in my mental clarity afterward. Since it’s a balancing pose, you must focus on your body to maintain the position.
Can Headstand be dangerous?
Yes, it can. It has helped me improve my memory too but doing it every day or several times a day may cause headaches since this is not good for blood vessels in the brain & people with high BP, should avoid Headstands because their blood vessels are already weak, so putting at least 10x more pressure on them will lead to stroke if one isn’t careful enough.
Pregnant women must avoid this yoga posture as well because during pregnancy, usually, there are lots of hormonal changes that can lead to an increase in blood pressure. I don’t think people with migraines should do Headstands either because often migraines are caused by the rise in blood pressure.
